Just when she seemed to have found peace in her life, criminologist Ana Beltrán realises that a series of deaths containing coded messages puts an end to the calm in which she was immersed. Partnered with a former Interpol agent, recognised as a professional, these severed bodies, which appear in different churches, separated from the heads, are going to test her mettle and shrewdness to solve the crimes.
The plot thickens with the discovery that all those murdered have a tattoo that forms a unique, shared image: yet another code they will have to decipher. The unexpected disappearance of Agustín Riglos, a former spy and Dr. Beltrán’s partner, plunges the group of investigators into mistrust.
