Broken Hearts Go to Australia by Liliana Cinetto
An unexpected companion can guide us toward a new path

Victoria, a successful fifty-five-year-old writer, finds herself in the middle of a divorce after a long and unhappy marriage. Immersed in sadness and loneliness, her daughter—who lives in Australia—invites her to spend the holidays there in an attempt to lift her spirits. Concerned about Victoria’s state of mind, her daughter and friends encourage her to try her luck in the world of dating through an app.
At first, Victoria is reluctant and skeptical about the idea of looking for a new partner online. But through a series of hilarious situations, they manage to convince her: they give her a makeover and create her profile. And after a couple of disastrous dates, Victoria meets Paul—a handsome surfer fifteen years younger, who also proves to be sensitive, gentlemanly, and warm. Day after day, Paul surprises her with small gestures filled with love and care. He shows her that love can be a beautiful and meaningful experience, regardless of age or circumstance. Victoria gives herself over to the relationship, believing it will be nothing more than something casual—but Paul surprises her in a thousand ways and gives her the courage to venture once again in search of the feeling she thought she had lost.
