Lola, the designer by Chiara F. Citterio
In the attic of the luxurious Pinky mansion lives and works Lola, a talented Siamese cat. Frida and Fiona, two elegant pit bull sisters, are the owners of the mansion and of the Pinky fashion brand. Although they present themselves as the designers, the true artist behind the exquisite garments is Lola, whom they once found on the street sketching fantastical designs. However, the sisters never give her the credit she deserves and treat her with disdain.
One day, as Lola makes the final adjustments to a red dress behind the runway, Luis appears—an imposing black cat with a glossy coat, known as a magnate in the fashion world. Watching Lola at work, Luis immediately recognizes her innate talent and offers her a job, promising her everything she has ever dreamed of. Lola, however, is afraid, knowing the sisters will not let her go easily. Though she initially rejects Luis’s offer, he refuses to give up.
After another successful fashion show, the sisters leave to celebrate without Lola. Exhausted from being treated like a servant, Lola decides it is time to escape. On the day of her flight, Luis arrives at the mansion asking for her. The sisters deny knowing Lola and head up to the attic to shut her window, hoping to prevent any escape. But Lola—clever and small—manages to slip out through a tiny bathroom window while the sisters sleep.
In the dark streets of Paris, Lola, frightened yet determined, searches for Luis. Desperate to find her, Luis finally spots Lola inside one of his magnificent venues. She asks if his offer still stands, and with a smile, Luis assures her that it does. Thus begins Lola’s new life—as the designer of her very own fashion brand.
