The Rich Roses by Citterio & Citterio
The rose is the symbol of the most elite school in the country:
Los Rosas, where every student is destined for a bright and powerful future. Aria, an orphaned girl, wins a scholarship for her talent in classical ballet. The night before her first day, she encounters a boy in a street dance battle who stands out above all the others in the neighborhood: Alex, the most extraordinary dancer she has ever seen. The next day, she discovers that Alex is also the most arrogant and elitist student at Los Rosas. Now, she knows his secret. He leads two lives. And so does she.
Aria Quispe is a dreamer who faced every child's nightmare: being an orphan. She has been chosen to complete her studies at the prestigious Colegio Rosas, but Aria is not like the other students—she doesn’t have zeros in her bank account, but she does have a great passion: dancing.
Aria was abandoned as a baby in the forest near the Sor Cruz de la Sierra Orphanage. Her origins have always been a mystery. She grew up there without ever having the chance to be adopted, but she was fortunate to have a caretaker, the sweet and beautiful Rita, who took her under her wing. Rita, a woman with a past that had shattered her heart into a thousand pieces, loved Aria from the very first moment. Knowing Aria and her boundless kindness rekindled Rita's spirit and passion for dance. Thanks to Rita, Aria has become the magnificent classical dancer she is today.
Rita always told her young protégé that the only way for her to achieve the greatness she deserves was to attend Colegio Rosas. A dream beyond reach for someone like Aria, but once a year, there is a competition where 100 kids compete for a scholarship to the school, and Aria wins it to complete her last two years.
Aria arrives in the capital with just her backpack, and while walking through the big city, she stumbles upon a street dance battle—an explosion of talent in her eyes. Among all the dancers, she sees him, shining brighter than the rest. And he sees her. Suddenly, Aria feels like she is soaring, lifted by the power of love. But Rita's words echo in her mind: "Never fall in love; it will only ruin your career and leave you with a broken heart."
Aria leaves before the boy from the streets can reach her, but fate is about to play an unexpected card.
