Ofelia Cruz is a police officer who hopes that her work will pave the way to justice. She is a relentless investigator when it comes to solving serious cases involving drug trafficking offences. However, her commitment to the law brings her closer and closer to the criminals’ crosshairs, until she be- comes a victim of her own story. Her young nephew disappears without a trace. Stunned by the drama she is going through, and heartbroken, she desperately tries to stop the perpetrators of the horror. However, she makes mistakes that lead her away from the police force. With no support from law enforcement and her sister, who is the mother of the missing boy, turning her back on her, Ofelia decides to go it alone.
